When connecting the M-32 DA Pro II-D with a standard ("printer") USB 2.0 cable to a computer with a current Microsoft Windows™ or Apple macOS™ operating system, a virtual USB network adapter will be automatically installed using generic drivers that are included with the operating system. The device can then be remotely controlled by opening the URL http://172.20.0.1 in a browser.

The USB port cannot be used to stream audio signals.
Only one of the following products can be connected to the host computer via USB at a time: RME M-32 AD Pro (II, II-D), M-32 DA Pro (II, II-D), 12Mic, 12Mic-D, AVB Tool, M-1610 Pro, M-1620 Pro.
